The Legacy Leadership Team

Executive Director

Heidi Polonus, LPN

After graduating from nursing school, Heidi has spent her career passionately serving seniors in Clinical and Executive Roles. Most recently she has worked as an Executive Director at assisted living communities for the past 11 years.

Heidi believes that it is an honor and a privilege to be part of the lives of seniors. She loves watching her residents make new friends, participate in activities and enjoy things that life has to offer. Heidi lives locally with her family and enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and camping. She can't wait to now serve the seniors of Trumbull County!

Wellness Director

Heather Campbell, LPN

I have been in the healthcare field for 13 years starting my career as an STNA. The joy I get from seeing the residents healthy and happy is the most rewarding part of my job. I have been happily married for 5 years and I have 3 beautiful daughters. Our family has a dairy farm and I have always had a passion for horses that I am now able to share with my daughter. I am honored to be part of the The Legacy family and look forward to a long future with them.

Life Enrichment Coordinator

Lydia Wajada

I started at working with The Legacy in the fall of 2021 as a Caregiver and transitioned the Life Enrichment Coordinator which I absolutely love. The best part of The Legacy Team is that we are so connected and support each other so much! Not only are my coworkers like and residents like my family, but my own family volunteers and part of the community as well which I really enjoy.

Culinary Director

Brittany Bush

I joined The Legacy as a cook in 2021 and I am so excited to grow with the community as the Culinary Director.

My interactions with the residents have really made me feel this is where I am meant to be. I hope to make their stay here even more enjoyable by offering warm hearty meals that they may have enjoyed at home. I love working at The Legacy because we are all family here!
